Habit 03:42
V1) I’ve got something to say, but I can’t say it. It’s just a question for the old. I want to give it time but not my life, I think that it’s a break from feeling cold. V2) I’ve got something to break but I can’t break it. It’s just a habit that I’ve formed. If I could open wide and sing like I escape, then I could trust my brittle bones. Ch) Can you buy me a new life, form a river from a hurricane? Build around me when I hide? Cause if not I’ve got to get away. V3) I’ve got somewhere to stay but I won’t make it I’ve grown accustomed to the road. I’ve got to settle down and keep the crown on straight At least until someone else knows

Autumn 04:49
V1) All the open eyes around us Shouldn’t see what we don’t show Our petty fame went up in flames And I cannot let go Pch) You make me wanna run You make me wanna run away and hide You make me wanna run, but You make me wanna gamble for more time Ch) I alone can end this storm Tired and cold, the autumn wind blows I alone can end this storm Tired and old, the autumn wind blows V2) Set sail across the water To somewhere we can’t go We’ll sink one day, so far away But I will not let go Pch) You make me wanna run You make me wanna run away and hide You make me wanna run, but You make me wanna gamble for more time Ch) I alone can end this storm Tired and cold, the autumn wind blows I alone can end this storm Tired and old, the autumn wind blows

V1) I’m sitting on the steps with a photograph of a person who wants to be More than tied down to a temporary dream I feel my head shake like I’m born again but there’s nothing profound about feeling like the cameraman In someone else’s scene Ch) I can sit and watch the stars V2) And I feel it all at once when I’m home again Everything is the same as when I was young. I just need some space to breathe. i can’t help that I’m awake when I pretend to sleep On the rooftop I can hear the promises I made, that I would not be here Without more to say Ch) I can sit and watch the stars V3) And now the hourglass is keeping me awake I watch you fall I’ve spent too many stolen hours above it all
4.
V1) You watch the faces at the bar, when you feel alone. You say you wanted somewhere else to feel like home. It’s just a pity we’re so far, from my kind of roads And I don’t know if somewhere else could feel like home. Ch) I know that we are prone to falling apart sometimes And if you’re sad alone am I better off? With earthquakes down my spine Cause if I could just float on well I’d try There’s too much time V2) You’re saying things I wanna hear, when you feel alone You’re saying things that only I should know You’re saying things I wanna hear, so you can feel alone You say things that only I should know Ch) I know that we are prone to falling apart sometimes And if you’re sad alone am I better off? With earthquakes down my spine Cause if I could just float on well I’d try There’s too much time

Fade Out 03:51
V1) Take a look at my face Memorize the lines Is it that much harder, that much stranger in the night I’m a hollow frame And it’s getting harder to pretend these demons won’t fight Cause I know you wanna stay We’ve made memento mori claims I guess I found a sense of shame Ch) And it all comes down As the lights fade out Well it’s not what I said but darling, I know now Oh that when we bow And the lights bare down Nobody tells you how to face the crowd V2) Take a second to think It’s about that time We could force the door shut, board it up to stop the light I’m a broken frame And it’s getting harder to pretend these demons won’t fight

Known To Wander Milwaukee, Wisconsin

We Are Known To Wander, a rock band from Southern Wisconsin. Our state is known for Bon Iver and the Violent Femmes, and our band represents those opposing forces of influence. We have a little acoustic heart, a little fuzzy guitar goodness, and a little blues sensibility. ... more
